Ummm Ardeur dear? You decide to try to mellow a conversation by bringing religion into it? I've been putting forth the idea ever since I started campaigning for FF poses on here. You can be passionate, you can be angry, you can express yourself, just be tactful.

Right now my current platform is that as a FF consumer I need to have something to consume otherwise my spending money on AChat seems pointless, and when comparing the FF release schedule to the fact that our memberships are based on numbers of months I am left with a position where I feel that I will need more FF options before I go spending anymore money on AChat.

I've typed it multiple times and to the best of my knowledge Susy hasn't felt the need to edit a single one because it isn't insulting, and present my feelings on the matter in a fashion that the development team would probably have to admit has credence.

Tact is a lost art in the real world, and a murdered one on the internet.

I'm religiously trying to keep religion out of it, only referring to it because in my eyes these examples are the worst case scenarios of short fuses towards the end of the world.

I'm with you on the tact-matter, in real life tact is a dwindling form of art and online you can trip over bits of gore from when they fragged tact. The why is that you won't get punched in the face online for being a totally obnoxious ass, unless the other knows where you live.

Tact used to be a cornerstone of civilization, because the other guy had a pointy stick as well and then there was no CSI nor someone walking his dog to find you before the only thing left of you were bones and your footwear.

In current society tact is lost and respect has become an empty phrase. I see it around me, working with a large group of different nationalities (over 25 in my company) and noticing that tact and respect have a different meaning/content for each nationality if not for each person. Where one person is hurt by not saying goor morning or good day to them, another might not be bothered with giving it a second thought.
Still, as I have learned, being respectful and saying things in an unhurtful manner has helped me to be able to talk to everyone and have a healthy (work-) relationship with people. Coming from a society where directness is common but for other nationalities can be offending, there is no fixed way of how to respect. One thing I do know for sure, cursing someone for disagreeing or feeling hurt by there words (misunderstood, accused, treated unjustfully, etc.) has never helped any situation get better. Some people should just grow up and talk and act like an adult...

Basically yeah, anger rarely gets results, and when it does they are usually negative.

Just as much, a sincere effort will usually help past unintentional offense.

Well see I didn't even throw insults until she moderated me a 3rd time (you'd know that if you could have read it), she didn't moderate me because I was offensive.
I was moderated because my opinion was valid in such a way that it could threaten business or something. It honestly wasn't that bad, she didnt even just edit these comments, she deleted the whole things because the dev team probably disagrees with me and doesnt want anyone sympathizing

what do you think about censoring someone you disagree with?

Yes, given that this is a commercial site, my job is to moderate any posts that "could threaten business" as you say.
Please post such ideas somewhere else.

I said before and know this out of first hand experience when I was trying to help a friend that was moderated because his opinion was 'threatening business', this isn't a democracy, the game nor the forum. I am not saying I support this, a forum should be ideally open to say anything, when it depicts your opinion, but it is the reality. And wether you cursed susy after the first, second or third post doesn't really matter in my opinion. I had posts removed as well, which displeased me very much. I outted my displeasure on the forum, which was removed as well.

Unhealer, in an open forum I would react much different if one of your posts, or any post, was moderated. Yet, this forum has set rules (as vague as they may be) and with posting here, they assume you comply with those rules. So don't be surprised when, in their opinion, a post is threatening and it is removed.

There is always a choice, either comply by their rules, post your grievances elsewhere or quit the game. I seriously considered not returning to the forum or the game after my posts were removed and the rules for the forum were set. And I will probably be tempted to quit again, not promising my dissatisfaction with some parts of the game, or a post on the forum, stirs my mood and makes me react without restrictions of tact and respect.

If you want your opinion to come across, especially in a public environment, with a censorship in place, a good way to go is to be direct without being tactless or offensive.. It shows a stronger case as a post full of curses...

its a pretty valid reason to quit, because several things could be done to help with said issue, in fact my first post listed a problem related to said issue, but the entire post was deleted and all suzy told me was that said issue was why my post got deleted
why she didnt just edit it and remove the sentence like she did when i said there were a lot of 15-year-old boys on this game? I dunno
but said issue needs to be addressed, a lot of solutions wouldnt hurt business because all theyd do is make the game less stressful for the paying demographic
