Back then the orgies definitely seemed to. In Greece as well, while Bacchus was known as the God of Wine he was also a God of Death and his revels usually involved bloodshed. When they were lucky it was the non-fatal kind.

I was actually wondering if we would want to have a Halloween Party thread. It would work much like the Masquerade Ball where we could post links to our costumes, and just generally have a party atmosphere to play around in.
