Actually the tongue is not so much what needs to be protected since it's the whole oral cavity that could take in an infection. Hence the dental dam, but I know this wasn't serious. Just posted in case someone with a serious question happened to read.

Wondering if the outfit shouldn't be protected from the oral cavity. Since the oral cavity holds an overdose of bacteria, worse than the oral cavity of, for instance, a dog... But then again, less bacteria then the oral cavity or a komodo lizard...  Roll Eyes
