Sweep - Eurovision Song Contest
It's that magic time of year again when the Eurovision Song Contest will grace our screens and polute, oops, I mean enrich our ears. The Grand Final is on Saturday 18 May in Malmo Sweden & is broadcast in the media.
Did you know the first ever Eurovision Song Contest took place 1956 ? ;D
The qualifying countries are
1 Armenia
2 Azerbaijan
3 Belarus
4 Belgium
5 Denmark
6 Estonia
7 Finland
8 France
9. Georgia
10 Germany
11 Greece
12 Hungary
13 Iceland
14 Ireland ;D
15 Italy

I propose a little sweep stake here, depending on how many are interested. Sign up here...
The countries are shared out between the volunteers , by chance out of a hat.
The volunteers donate 50AS to play.
The winner takes all .
Sign up to show your interest. Once the players are known, countries are shared equally . The stake of 50A$ is paid to Osiris_Forum.
When the Eurovision Song contest final is broadcast and winner decided. The player here holding the winning country , wins the Stake , ie – all the A$ collected.
You only qualify as playing this sweep stake , when your donation is received by Osiris_Forum. Please PM me when you have made your 50A$ donation so I can confirm it has been received.
Achat Gods are only persons who have access to this account and will ensure the winner receives the collected amount as soon as possible after the winning country is announced in the media, and following a confirmation PM by me of the winner. This means players of any gender can be awarded the prize money.
This is a bit of fun and it’s always nice to receive a little windfall. Hopefully there will be enough interest for the winner to buy a new pose or outfit.
As usual, the Director allocated to draw out the countries, will be excluded from playing to ensure integrity.

UK always comes near the bottom, I cant imagine why :) Ireland usually does pretty well though.

The french singer is "Amandine Bourgeois" this year.
She was participated to the french song TV game like "Pop Idol" there are few years.

Yes, The countries are shared out between the volunteers ( Sweepers ) who agree to play and pay their donation ( Stake ) of 50A$ to Osiris_Forum.

Achat Gods have agreed to use Osiris_Forum. They will be making the payments at my direction :) Which means any gender can receive the winnings . :)

1 The Sweepers gift 50A$ to Osiris _ Forum. Once their Stake money is confirmed as received, they are in the Sweep Stake.
2. Please PM me to confirm you have gifted Osiris_ Forum the above amount. This will then be confirmed.
3. Once the Sweep Stake is closed to volunteers , the countries will be shared out equally between them.
4. The Countries left over will remain in Osiris_ Forum's domain.
5. The Sweeper who has the Winning Country of the Eurovision Contest 2013 will win all the Stake A$ collected in this game.
6. If Osiris_Forum has the Winning Country. Then the top placed country in play will be announced as the Winner & that Sweeper will collect the Stakes collected instead.
Think that's the easiest & Fairest way to play Sweep Stakes on Forum.

How to gift Osiris:
Login to homepage. You get a list of your partners, sorted alphabetically. As no one has Osiris in his list, scroll til the end of this list. There is a link called "Members".
On next page you can browse through the complete community or use the search function to find the desired person.
It's bit small but you find "Partner search" above "Community".
Type "Osiris_Forum" and she will be shown. Click "Make a gift", add 50 and submit. Done :)

The Contest will close to volunteer Sweepers at 6pm UK time, or when the the Sweepers reach 26, the same number of countries- whichever comes sooner. Then the countries will be shared out equally to the qualifying Sweepers who have gifted their stake, and announced here, together with the final pot A$ or Sweep Stake collected .
The Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast 8pm in the UK. Yippy ;D

HB, You are not forced to watch it, I will announce the winner here anyway. Its just one of the few competitions that is broadcast & where there is a large number of contestants who take part and enables Sweep Stakes to work :)
There is another one in the UK called The Grand National. This is a televised horse race once a year where about 40 horses race in a Steeple Chase. All the nation take part in Sweep Stakes on this one.
I thought it would be fun to introduce the concept to Forum with the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Hope you do join . It means the pot ( Sweep Stake ) collected will get bigger, and everyone likes a little windfall to treat themselves. ;D
At the moment as it stands your A$50 stake could turn into A$ 350 winnings. Seems to me its worth the potential loss of A$50 for the gain there :) But its your decision ;D

Yes you are all right.
Forum now has four avatars run by the Moderators. The Moderators however cannot gift from these accounts.
Three of them are called Forum_1 ; Forum_2 and Forum_3 These are our Bill Boards to advertise events in Forum in the game. We did try to get them next to the Robots on 24/7 but unfortunately it is not feasible. You will no doubt see them on in the game but, be warned... hehe ... it can be any one of the Mods on with them...
The fourth one is called Osiris_Forum and is in effect our bank account for Forum. We can only access the account to confirm if gifts are received and prizes awarded. We cannot gift with this account. Only the Achat Gods can gift to the nominated player at our request.
This is one such game where we are utilising Osiris_Forum for the first time.

My personal favourite was GREESE's - " Alcohol is Free " Call me cynical but with the financial difficulties facing some countries, and the vast expense of the Eurovision Contest... I think this entry was not meant to qualify... and it did surprisingly well. LOL It is catchy LOL

For the information of participants and winner of Sweep Stakes or similar events -
When the Achat Gods award prizes it does not show up on your account from Osiris_ Forum..
Instead to confirm you have received your prize you have to go into... "Shop" ( And log in your details ) / " Your Profile" / " Recent Purchases " and then scroll down....
You will find a different boxed section that itemises all " Funding" received from Achat Gods including subscription information, and " Gifts" you have received and given. Green are credits - Gifts / Prizes received , Blue are debits - Gifts given.
Your prize will show as " The date " / " White box with a blue A S inside " / " Funding " / Account Funding by AS Purchase / The prize amount in Green eg 400
The Director or Co- Director of games will PM the winner when their account has been awarded the Prize and you can check and confirm as above.
