This game has a potential. Can(and should)become a means off communication how to relax more people.Maybe be very expensive, but a translation and would ensure a greater spread and .Thanks a lot.

Do you realize that it's almost technically impossible to do ? Or at least, very difficult. You can use the translators on Internet, Google got one and it's not so bad. I think that the people that build this game has other things to do right now than to incorporate a translator into it !  :-X

Hi,
the program can take all the used texts from a simple text file, then only this text file should be translated. A bit later I think we will publish this text file, and you can help us to translate if you would like to. But please have  patient...

tom

Hey,

Well, here's a suggestion, or a question... You know, in french, we use letters like « ç » or « è », and those caracters are not available for achat. Maybe it's a question of configuration on my own computer, but if it's not, do you think it would be possible to make those specific letters available for people who use them in their language ? :)

Thanks !

But I just realized this was not the meaning of the question...  :-[

Hi Florent,

i do not think it is a computer configuration problem because all thé French people i talked to encounter that sort of keyboard missing lettres.

Thanks to the dev team for the great work.
If you need some beta test with French keyboard, just ask ;)

Given the fact that chinese is the most widely spoken language, yes, we'll support it in the future, but at the moment we can't say exactly when. But hopefully till then, the chinese speaking users will use English  :)

Thanks for the info, we'll extend the keyboard handling function to include those missing characters.

I decide to open another topic to remeber my request...

I'm italian and frequently ask to the users with a name that sound's itallian if they are italian, or where are they from...

it's one of my best approach  ;) but I know that for someone that don't write his/her country provenience can be annoying to answer me...

well, my proposal is to add a new row in the profile where all the people can indicate his/her preferred languages.

I ask it because Rab say something about some news in the interface... I suppose that can be a good time to remember my proposal   ;D ;D ;D ;D
Title: Re: TRANSLATION
Post by: Nicoquin on November 17, 2009, 01:50:12 PM
why not ;)
but it has to be a more than one choice select or a free text :D
because i want to write there English, Français, Deutsch, old Greek ;)
Title: Re: TRANSLATION

sure is exactly my idea... not a one choise, only a free space to add a list like "Italian, Furlan, English" and so much   ;D ;D ;D

(for who want know, the "Furlan" is Friulano a varation of Romance languagehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_languages (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_languages), the most common and knowed variation of that is Ladinohttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladin_language (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladin_language), and is the language spoken in my region before the italian language   8) 8) 8) )

I agree.

although this is a predominantly english userface...due to the large amount of non english speakers on here too, it may be helpful to incorporate a language status into the info section. most useful for people to not get messaged/ message a person unfamiliar with the language. plus it would save people having to state in their comment thing that they want someone to speak a certain language (making room for a more sexy comment status :p )
Title: Re: TRANSLATION
Post by: Willyco on December 27, 2009, 09:31:28 PM
yes... is the same proposal that I've do it in another tread... we need a list of languages used from every singular user... the country isn't esemplificative... like my olt proposal, we need a list like (in my case) Italian, english, furlan  instead of country only (I suppose that not all the russian users prefere chat in english instead german or other languages...) a change in the appropiate part of the user profile is needed...

and please, if is possible, add a support for the non english char-sets... now russians users are a lot but french and italian users haven't  support for the accents and not-english char-sets...

help us to feel "at home" in chat   ;) ;) ;)

Thanks Corvus, great!
Janine Dee had the idea to start a quick-start guide for newbies, see it here: http://www.funnyadultgamesplay.com/forum/index.php/topic,471.0.html (http://www.funnyadultgamesplay.com/forum/index.php/topic,471.0.html)

We still are collecting ideas, everyone can give his suggestions. If we think its enough to understand, we wanna make an own topic and translate this in different languages. So it would be good if you can translate to Russian then.

Lover

Now you can get AChat in several languages:
Dutch, German, Italian, Russian, Turkish

First you have to install the basic AChat client. Then you can download your language update.

It's just possible to use an language. You can't install multiple one and then choose your favourit or change it. But it's no problem to install another one if you want to change one day.

Tight, I looked at the Dutch version - very funny for a German boy :)

@Lover I'll check yours... But it will be less funny for me since I am part German... But I can understand what you mean... ;)

I am glad they are finally there, and with huge contributions from the users themselves... I'd say well done to all!

Post by: Lover on December 14, 2010, 05:17:05 PM
It will obviously not be funny for you but maybe you know some better terms?

I like the Dutch language and I know some words from  several trips to Center Parcs. It's just, since I heard a joke from Kaya Yanar when he spoke about a Dutch terrorist I have this funny voice in my mind. It's not meant in a bad way.

I found a youtube-video from this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKAJ2QpvOWs

Kaya himself is Turkish-German.

LMAO! A dutch terrorist... And thanks, now I have that voice in my head too...lol
I doubt if I know better terms than you. I'm not in Germany often enough to be fluent anymore, but i still understand everything that is said and written. And talking about funny voices... Ever heard a german talk dutch (I know from personal experience, my dad), or for that matter, a dutch talk German? :D

Sometimes it's an advantage not to know too much - you are more open.

Yes, I heard both ways. Though I can't laugh about the German speaking Dutch. Vice versa. The Dutch laugh when I try to use Dutch words. And they are right :D :D :D
Title: Re: TRANSLATION

You being more open depends on the thread ;)
And I can see both sides and find them funny. There lies my advantage.;)
One of the biggest examples is Rudi Carrell, heavy accent although his german was a lot better than mine.
