We don't have box specials here, But we do have Boxing Day, the day after Christmas 26 Dec… The gentry and their wives would box up all the food and left over treats from Christmas feasting and deliver to all their servants and land workers as a thank you for all their hard work throughout the year. Eventually this day became known asBoxing day and is a recognised Bank holiday in the UK calendar to this day.
