Sad that the "Print" Button does not save screenshots of the in Game graphics in the designated folder...

I am running an ATI Eyefinity triple Screen Setup with my desktop PC (Resolution 5760X1080) - achat works but the Interface is terribly scaled.. The graphics are adapted correctly but the interface is messed up..

So I switch to a triple Screen setup (3* 1900*1080) .. AChat works well on a single display in Fullscreen mode... everything is scaled correctly.

But - Taking a screenshot does not work correctly.. Using copy paste into pbrush.exe produces black borders(1900*1080 left and right) .. tried also fraps and snag!it.. similar problems.. nothing works without reworking the images..

It would be nice if configs with multiple screens (I know many people using similar setups) would be supported
and
maybe the in game screenshot feature could be implemented correctly (within achat - producing own screenies in the designated directory)

Cheers,
Dee

Found a workaround for the black screen prob. Also got that proplem using standard screenshot-to-clipboard in Windows "print" button.
The screen in oversizes dimensions such as 16:0 or 5760x1080 seems to be a kind of  virtual for windows - but its in the Memory of your graphics card.

Easy Solution: Use FRAPS - it works much closer to hardware and does a copy of your GFX memory .. voila! you get the full screen screenshot.

I think there is still a free (but limited function) version here:

http://www.fraps.com/ (http://www.fraps.com/)

.. just disable anything but the screenshot function and its hotkey ..

Problems? -> PM Me!

Cheers!

Hi,

the screenshot uses standard DirectX functions, here we cannot correct the result, we are terrible sorry.

The GUI could be corrected to adapt better to the resolution, but that is a bigger change, so it is not planned in the near future.

Hi Tom!

Thank you for your quick reply! Found a solution for Screenshots and footages.. configured FRAPS correctly. It copies the screenshot directly from the memory of my ATI Radeon Toxic HD 5970 GFX card.. works perfectly.

Only sad you are not adapting the  Hi-Resolution displays in the game in near future..

But nevertheless: Appreciation for your great product. I really love and enjoy AChat! Continue your great work on it please :) !

Bless you!

If yes, it's well hidden, Rukya.....eh eh!

joking apart.....i don't think so, Rukya, but you can take screenshot using the "Stamp" button on your keyboard, then you have to paste it on a pic editor program and save it on your HD

I don't understand.........
I make no secret of the fact that I'm a technophobe.....
But I have taken several screen prints and I have found no fault with them. I have cropped several of them for use as profile pics... you may see them sometimes.

shift+PrtSc and paste it onto a word document/ From there I can save it as a jpg and edit it and save it into my pictures folder.

On my keyboard, about 4th key in from top right, there is a key that says

PrtSc
SysRq

if you press the "shift" key and the PrtSc key, it takes a full-screen print of whatever you have open at the time. You then need to paste it onto a page of a word document or equivalent. (Ctrl V)
Then you can edit the picture and save it as a picture.

Coirrect, bluedenim.. "normally" the <prtscrn> button does it.. but some people are using special monitor configs like 16:9 cinema displays or in my case widescreen on 3 monitors.. Using <prtscrn> in such configutsations ends up in getting a black rectangle copied out. FRAPS solves this problem. WYSIWYG...

Thankks for letting me share,

yes, Rukya, it means "print screen"......but you have to use a picture program to save it!

open Paint (the easy one!), use the command "paste" and then save.
