Share your creative ideas / Animations
« on: April 27, 2016, 05:08:18 AM »

I would like to see the animations that the avatars are using on the start screen be made available to the masses.  IMO - Those are much better than some of the ones that we presently have.

Quizz, Fav TV, Fav Music, Fav Films, Books... / R.I.P. Lauren Bacall
« on: August 13, 2014, 05:14:33 AM »

We've lost another
While she won't get nearly the media coverage of Robin Williams or Phillip Seymour Hoffman

(CNN) -- Actress Lauren Bacall, the husky-voiced Hollywood icon known for her sultry sensuality, died Tuesday. She was 89.

Robbert de Klerk, co-managing partner of the Humphrey Bogart Estate, said Bacall died in New York.

She was anointed a legend during her lifetime by the American Film Institute, but she wasn't fond of that, she told CNN's Larry King in an interview in 2005.

"I don't like the category. And to begin with, to me, a legend is something that is not on the Earth, that is dead," she said.

Legends were part of the past, and Bacall preferred the present.

But her international fame began before the backdrop of World War II, in 1944 with her first film, "To Have and Have Not," which she made with future husband Humphrey Bogart.

They married in 1945, had two children and went on to make more films together, including "The Big Sleep" (1946), "Dark Passage" (1947) and "Key Largo" (1948). Bogart died in 1957.

"He was an extraordinary, extraordinary man. I mean, I've been extremely lucky. God, I have no complaints at all," Bacall said of her late husband during a 2005 interview with CNN's Larry King.

Bacall's grandson said he got a call early Tuesday from his father.

"She apparently had a stroke. A pretty massive stroke. That's what happened," said Jamie Bogart, who last saw Bacall over the holidays.

"She was, you can say she was a tough personality. She wanted the best and if you weren't doing the best she let you know about it. She was a great person. Catch her on a bad day it could be interesting. She was a good grandma. She was lucky to have a pretty unique life," he said.

A marriage to Jason Robards, which produced another child, actor Sam Robards, ended in divorce. Bacall was engaged to Frank Sinatra, briefly, between marriages.

Friend Dick Cavett, a former TV talk show host, said he and his wife were in a cab just 36 hours before the death was announced, driving by where Bacall lived and wondering aloud how she was doing.

"Her presence was tangible," Cavett said. "There was no nonsense, no affectation. She wasn't tough. But she could play tough."

Cavett added: "She just was what a lot of young women would like to be. Someone that can't be pushed around. Someone that could tell you where to head in ... with a colorful, vile vocabulary if she needed to fall back on it."

Bacall's confident, smoldering expression -- the down-turned face and up-turned eyes -- earned her the nickname: The Look.

Ironically, the young woman originally struck the pose because she felt insecure.

"I mean, that was what started the look -- was nerves -- just trying to keep my head steady," Bacall once said.

Bacall won two Tony Awards and an honorary Oscar; she was nominated for three Emmy Awards.

During the interview with King, Bacall said working on stage was her original dream.

"When the curtain goes up, [the stage is] ours. It's ours to project what the playwright wants to say to an audience, what to convey and to get a response from the audience immediately.

"Movies are great fun and wonderful when they're good. But you never get to see them till six months after they're finished.

"So you never get a sense of whether they're really well liked or how good they are. And you don't really know what the finished product is going to be like, because it's a director's medium."

Bacall was discovered by the wife of American film director Howard Hawks after she appeared on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. As a lanky teen, she modeled to earn extra money.

Hawks later gave Bacall, who was born Betty Joan Perske, the name Lauren. Her last name, Bacall, came from her mother's maiden name.

Her first autobiography, "Lauren Bacall: By Myself," won the National Book Award in 1980. "By Myself and Then Some," her updated autobiography, was published in 2005.

A-Team ask you / I ask the A-Team
« on: August 07, 2014, 04:34:37 AM »

Okay.. instead of "A team ask you"... how about a new topic.  "I Ask the A team".

My first request is for the room templates.  There are a lot of creative folks in AChat who would like to attempt designing rooms for use in the game.  I understand that there is a lot to it... all the shadowing has to work, the rotation of the camera has to work flawlessly as well as the avatars in the room.  Plus you need not only interiors but exteriors.

Judging by the layouts of the rooms, there seems to be a set pattern for each.  The magic sofa goes in a certain place, as does the other apparatus that gets used.  The table, the X, etc.  If the powers that be would see fit to release the templates to us, we could try our hand at them.

It could be done the same way as with the clothing, where we submit our complete designs to AChat and allow them to choose.  Compensation could be worked out the same way as the clothing.

Introduce yourself / To Bear
« on: July 31, 2014, 01:34:13 PM »

Since I was unable to post in the Forum News topic, I will put this here... complete with Bear's post.  As I am sure there are others who would like to post a few words of thanks.

Quote:
Over the past 18 months I have found that my capacity to be an active participant as a forum moderator increasingly difficult. hence I have decided to tender my resignation to tom and suzy and the forum moderators that effective immediately I will no longer be a forum moderator.

That said I desire to give my thanks, to tom and suzy for taking a bold step and instilling active forum members as moderators. My thanks to Lover, Tightfit and Keiko, who volunteered to step forth and do this with me and face the initial firestorm of what was then not a popular idea.

I wish to give gratitude to Lover for his unending devotion to the banner of Achat, he worked tirelessly to the creation of the structuret within the forum that we have today. His eagerness to answer questions and direct newcomers in the right direction.Again to Tightfit for developing and encouraging the groundwork of threads for creative members to find an outlet to express themselves.  To Brandybee for her tireless efforts in recruiting and encouraging members to take a look and participate in our growing community. To HB for picking up the slack of matters during my absence, his uncertainty grew into confidence.

I am certain they will find someone within the community with equal zeal and appreciation for what has developed here.

And finally my thanks to all of you readers and posters it is you who brings life to these threads. I have seen much here thru the years. Be it by simple banter, or the suggestion of creative ideas to enhance the game for all to play, to those who stepped forward perhaps with trepidation, and posted stories. and those who.... *cough, cough*.... gave us some visually appealing erotica.

You all collectively make this a special place.

Bear

I hope this doesn't mean you will no longer contribute to the Forum

My friend, thank you for all you have done to help put this Forum on a firm foundation.  When I first arrived into this place, it was a mess, with folks posting anything and everything in all the topics.  It was difficult to find any help via the Forum because I had to wade through post after post of blather.

You and the others who started it, Keiko, Tighfit74, and Lover took a lot of abuse during the flame war that erupted when you all first attempted to moderate.  The result is a place where information is easily available, and a friendly atmosphere in whick to make any inquiries.

You leave the Forum a much better place than when I started and in very capable hands... and for that I'd like to offer a round of applause, and buy you a beer.

Another site, which will remain nameless... gives you the ability to play music scripts.  This enables everyone to hear the same music at the same time.

Last night Amy and I gave it a try here on AChat, and it worked great.  We just went to 181.fm and picked a category and a station.  It was interesting how the music fit our moods so well.

If anyone wants to try that, just go to 181.fm on your browser and click on a station.  Or you can just input the URL for it.  If both you and your room partner do this, you can both enjoy listening to the same music play.  There's some small, crappy commercial you have to put up with, but they're not too bad... and we know that the other sites have bills to pay, too.

Here's some codes.  Just copy and paste in your browser:

Events / Game at Crystal Lake
« on: November 02, 2013, 07:46:59 AM »

There was a topic started about this, but it disappeared, so I will start one here.  We tried a little game in a Dungeons & Dragons style of play, only using the honor system for our rolls, and text.  With a few pictures sprinkled in for atmosphere.  Nice job DM!

I have considered starting something like that game here in the forum.  We ran that brief game as an experiment to see if the system would actually work, and I think it did... only we all spent what seemed like a week in the forum.  The next one, if we do it again, will be longer and more spaced out.  Our reason for rushing through it was so we could rejoin the postings at the AChat Bar & Grill.

To do a long scenario would probably take months, if not a year, because we'd only be posting once a day or so.

What we're asking for here is some feedback from the Forum.  Did you see any potential for starting something like this?  And for all those that played... Terri... Pafe... Satorie... Mooncalf and Pookie (who was our DM... Thank you Pook)  I would appreciate any feedback that you would like to share with the forum.  Or... you could PM it to me.

My first crack at texture design.  Inspired by a dream and influenced by the outfit that Britney Spears wore in her "Toxic" video.  A little sparkly thing that is yet untitled.

There's still a few adjustments I would like to attempt, perhaps some hems along the openings.  I also want to experiment with the height maps for this.  I would appreciate any and all feedback, hints and tricks.  Thank you.

Share your creative ideas / FOOTSIES!!!
« on: July 13, 2013, 07:09:08 PM »

The new actions in the "Talk" pose have given us some unexpected cuteness that we would like to share with the Forum Village.  It's a little game called "Footsies":)

Here's what you do... before going into the room with your... ah... er... room pardner... make sure both of you take your shoes and socks off.  Ladies... you could leave your stockings on... but I wouldn't recommend it... runs, you know.

Okay... you've got your shoes off and you go into the room.  You are in the default pose of "Talk in Street Clothes"... next both you and your... ah... er... room pardner click on the action "Bored".  It's at the top left of all the actions.  Now... stand back and watch what happens.

YOU'RE PLAYING FOOTSIES!!!

Your little tootsies rub back and forth... sometimes even touching.  You can adjust the speeds, so your foot is moving faster (or slower) than your... ah... er... room pardner's foot.

And for you naughty ones... you can use "Talk in sex clothes" and play Footsies that way.  And for you men reading this... if you do play Footsies in the "Talk in sex clothes" be sure to click on the "Adore" action first... you know... to size up your opponent.

I have a feeling that when the developers were developing.. they didn't expect this to happen.  If they did, I will have a whole new respect for them.

Another little gem we found by playing around with all the actions... if both you and your... ah... er... room pardner click on "No Way"... you look like you are playing a weird form of Pat-a-Cake.

Try it!!

Polls / New Pose Idea "On the Table"
« on: May 02, 2013, 11:39:16 AM »
A pose proposal:

Title:  "On the Table"
Sometimes we don't make it out of the kitchen and wind up on the table.  Dishes and flatware pushed to the floor to make room.  I would like a pose to reflect that.  This could also be used at a desk, a counter top... just use your imagination.  I've included some visuals.

Male Actions:
Massage Breast... both hands on her tits
Lick nipple... lean in to lick her nipple
Anal Action... into the other hole
Finger Pussy... step back and finger
Lick pussy... roll her up a bit
Kiss... can't have too much kissing
Jerk off... for the money shot
Quick Action... shorter, quicker thrusts
Cock outside... rubbing on her clit
Harder and deeper.. Pulls her thighs and thrust harder
Hold hips... hold her by the hips... her legs dangle
Spread legs... holding her legs by the ankles
A couple of happy faces

Default position

Lick Pussy

Female Actions:

Massage breast...   she rubs
Rub clit... she does that, too
spread legs... she opens her legs
Hand job... strokes him
Neck hug... legs around neck
Legs hug... legs around waist
Hands on head... as she moves
Grab forearm... she grabs his
Grab shoulder... rises up slightly to hold his shoulders
Kiss  (there really should be one on each side)
Grab thigh... grabs her thigs from underneath and opens her legs more
Dance... she does a circle motion with her hips
Turn hip... she rolls her hips to one side
Hand in hand... they lock fingers
A couple of happy faces

Hold Hips

The Kiss

This pose should be adaptable for other orientations.  Please add any additional actions you would like to see included

Woman with man in AChat / Building a relationship
« on: April 25, 2013, 11:14:28 AM »

I wish that some of the ones I asked to build a relationship with would answer, either accept or deny.  The waiting is the hardest part, and just a click of the button to accept or reject is all that is needed.

Case in point:  I sent my Eva a request to be my spouse in May of 2012.  It is now almost a year later, and still no reply.  It still reads:  Building relation...

The non acknowledgement is beginning to damage my self esteem.

Introduce yourself / A goodbye
« on: April 01, 2013, 06:24:35 AM »
I wasn't sure where to post this... so I thought it best to put it here.

Dear Forum Members,

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce, that I am leaving AChat and consequently, the Forum.  I have enjoyed my time here with such an elan, that I cannot put into words.

Things have changed for me in the last month or so to the extent that finding enough time to devote to AChat or the Forum was becoming increasingly difficult to do.

I hope that when you read through some of the older posts and come across mine, that you think kindly of me and my silliness, and I hope that in some small way I've managed to bring a smile to you.  I know that many of you have caused me to smile and sometimes even roar with laughter.

To my friends I will say that I will miss you terribly, and to those I haven't met, I am sorry that I missed you.  So now, I must bid you all adeiu.

Riding into the sunset, your friend,

Slip of the pen (Report bugs) / Blackout
« on: January 26, 2013, 09:21:22 AM »

This bug is actually kind of fun with the right person.  This has happened twice to me... While in the room with a lady, we were going at it pretty good.  I was teaching her how to ride  :D  anyway... I changed the pose to "Kneeling Rider" and the entire room went black!

All the button were there... we could still chat... all the poses and actions were there... I could even move the cameras around... only we couldn't see.  The same thing happened on her side.  The room was black.  It was like someone turned off the light switch.

Once we changed the pose we could see again.  Went back to "Kneeling Rider", blackout again.  Very strange, and it only happened with "Kneeling Rider".  We had fun with it, messaging things like "Can you feel my hands, lips"... etc.

I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else.
