Got any problems running AChat? / Chatlog not saving

Hey all,

This isn't a problem with achat per se, but with the chatlog. I've had a couple of instances where chat sessions haven't saved to the log. Couldn't understand why, as it would then revert back to saving again with no problems.

Then the most recent time, I finished a session and I went to the log, and none of the session was there. However, what I realised then was that I had opened my chatlog after I'd logged in, and had then left it open whilst I was logged in. So maybe if you open your chatlog when logged in, and leave it open, any new chat/conversations will not then save to the log?

Has anyone else had this happen?

Any technical-minded people who could verify that if you log on, open your chatlog, and keep it open, then any new chat won't save? (E.g. is this something to do with the way the notepad program works?)

Hello guys  :)

Not sure how well this might work, but i just posted Lou Reed's Satellite of Love on the music association game, and it gave me an idea for another game. Each post asks a trivia question. Whoever answers it then asks a new trivia question relating to the answer for the previous one. I'm starting with a music question, but can go in any direction whatsoever. So, to begin:

Hey everybody, I'm Tom.

Been moseying around here in the forum for a week or two now, so thought I ought to properly say hello.

I've been on achat itself on and off for about a year now, have had a lot of fun and met some nice people, and am hoping that in joining the forum I can interact and meet a few more. The forum community seems like a fun and friendly place. In the game itself I particularly enjoy descriptive encounters and roleplay, so anyone who enjoys that (judging by some of the many threads, I think a lot of those who do gravitate to the forum?), feel free to come and say hello if you see me online. Always open to new ideas and suggestions! I also sometimes just want a good hard fuck, could be with a complete stranger, little or no intro, very much mood and time dependent. I veer more to the former than the latter, but I enjoy both.

My real life situation right now is not entirely where I would wish it to be, and I guess achat to some extent provides an escape from that. Someone else in this thread talked about having a safe space to explore - that idea appeals to me too; having a place to meet people, explore, have fun, perhaps build friendships and relationships over time.

So I guess I'm mostly here for mutually pleasurable fun with like-minded people, but open too to that exploratory aspect, in whatever direction it might lead...
