The only things that comes to mind, are certain 'waypoints' within the game, on which all other positions within the room are based.
Same with the ava's. I am certain they have some fixed points on which the motions are based. For instance navel, height of the eyes, any pivetting point within the body. Knees, elbows, ankles, neck, etc..
