It is just a guess, but I think your private room conversation is more likely to be broadcast in meeting place if you room from there.
The bug would be that it didn't totally disconnect the people who met there before rooming.
Being just a random room broadcast seems to unprobable to me without a reason.

I'd be ready to make some tests.
It only needs three of us in the meeting place to start. 2 go in room and just talk some crap a few minutes. Then… we join all 3 again and see what the result was.

…So if anyone is interested to test it, just hit me on chat.

  If I saw a conversation of mine on here, (which I haven't),  then I know that it was heard in the meeting place.  I'm sort of sensitive to this, (Very actually, can't you tell)  .  Knowing that people are seeing what I am saying, is to me, embarrassing.   Going private means exactly that.

About the conversations, it's ok to post them here. Maybe just shorten or stop now, as we have seen enough to know there is a glitch.

I was in room yesterday as friends were at the “meeting room” and my private “conversation” is not heard or they have not told me 
But this bug must be fix in priority, I think.

  Zoe.  She sounds like she's having Fun and that's the most important thing. Not everyone (like myself) haven't got much imagination not to mention an expert in descriptive writing.

  This Bug has gone on for too long.  We know it has been reported during the week.  It really should be shut down until the ACHAT team know it's been fixed,  they did it with the Poker Room so why not this ?  But then again people are having such a laugh at listening to it, why not keep it open.

  Anyway,  I've just noticed that I'm over 500 posts. (Most of them moaning about you know what)    But, a Hero Member. Hehehe.

  I won't go into a private room from the Meeting Place. I think is the best idea. (I Rarely go there anyway).  And finding out this bug is going to be difficult because, not all of us are online at the same time and all of us getting into the Meeting room at the same time might be troublesome.  But, really we shouldn't be doing this.  The Dev team should be and posting here on what they are doing to fix it, or EVEN TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT!!
