There are three balls. Two have same weight, one is heavier. You have one scales but only may use it once. What do you have to do to find the heavy one?

There are three balls. Two have same weight, one is heavier. You have one scales but only may use it once. What do you have to do to find the heavy one?

mark all balls 1,2,3 or A,B,C
Place all three on the scale, take a note of the total weight, remove each ball 1 at a time noting the new total weight,
