Some pictures of the animals we have at the zoo. Adults and babies within the last month and half.
May 29, 2013 at 2:43 pm #89689Laughing quietly …. I spent my last holiday at my friends place in Devon. I have bruises on my legs from getting head butted while feeding them. I'm obviously not quick enough tipping the bucket of feed in to their trough …. He farms goats and his wife has some rare breeds that she shows … I cheated and phoned them up …
May 29, 2013 at 2:47 pm #89690The Nigerian Dwarf Goat is a very sweet tempered animal and can actually be used as a pet. They also can out produce the big goats with milk.
Of the four babies we had born this year, the pure white one is my little buddy. He loves people so much that he will curl up and sleep with his head on the people's lap, hop inside their strollers and even follow them out the gate now so good thing we are stationed there to keep an eye on them. He loves to curl up in my lap when I sit down and loves to have his head itched by me. He would stay on my lap for long periods where I have to move him just so I can continue with my work. He sure knows how to grab my heart
@Richard that isn't cheating but using resources
and our goats and sheep KNOW better then to try and do that with the people who work with them. Now we do have some sheep and goats in the American part of the farm that will try to head butt the guests cause they know they will drop food for them. Sometimes it seems they know the people who will give in and the people who will tell them that is not allowed. May 29, 2013 at 3:10 pm #89691I'm thinking it'e because I don't deal with them every day they take a few liberty's more than would with my friend and his wife. When they have been fed then they are very friendly and one follows my friends wife around all day … He never leaves her side and knows he is not allowed in the house so he waits at the door for her. Real cute animals and the cheese from the milk is wonderfully sweet …
May 29, 2013 at 3:43 pm #89692Goats are so amazing
they love the attention so much more than the sheep would. May 29, 2013 at 3:45 pm #89693Secsi
Do you know why sheep don't like attention from humans ?May 30, 2013 at 12:01 am #89694no not sure why the sheep don't like attention as much unless it is all the shearing but even the babies are that way too.
Here is the next animal

Sheep can read minds … All they see when they look at humans is a big jar of mint sauce staring right back at them.
May 30, 2013 at 11:43 am #89697That's a good guess old goat ….not many animals have back legs that shape and the curve of the legs is right for a camel … shame we can't see the toe …
