We wanna start a little bet for the Europen Championship in soccer this June. The idea:
- We bet the result of several matches (which I will post soon enough)
- The "looser" (the one with least points) has to publish a sentence for one week on his banner description, which the winner may give him.
(We can't bet for money as the girls can't give money). It's allowed to give words that aren't legal, discriminating, insulting... we wanna have fun :)
Of course I ask for ideas and suggestions ;)

Its a reason drawing people into the forum to talk and discuss topics here - even if its just soccer :-) ant maybe other posts as well..
And more people participating in the forum means a bigger community and a solid base for the game making achat less anonymous.
I always welcome such Ideas - even if i got no Idea who even are the favorites for winning the european soccer championship this year ..

mmmmh, thinking about the idea of the "match" here in the forum, how it can work!? a bet between two of us!? or everyone can bet on an event!?
so, this jump in my mind: a sort of Championship between us, where everyone can choose a team and at every match we have a winner. at last you follow your team till the end and we gonna have the achat champion!
or simply bet on every match....at last, the one who win more bet is the champion of achat anyway

We have a big horse race here called The Grand National steeple chase every year where about 40 odd horses run. All our newspapers print the horses and jockey colours to cut out for familys / offices / work places to have a sweep stake. Basically they are put into a hat or jug and all participants pay a pound and pick horses till all are gone. The winner wins the pot.
Based on that idea, perhaps all national teams not supported for whatever reason, could be shared out with all the participants and same forfeits apply. If your team loses, the winner can dictate ( within reason ) what goes on your banner, city and country for a week or until their next game is played. The overall winner/ champion has all participants writing on their profiles for a week. Of course it will depend on the interest . It maybe all the teams will be supported or there are too few to be shared out fairly.
Register your interest and chosen country here. So Lover ( You are elected as organiser as you posted - hope you are ok with that - hehe ) will know which countries need sharing out and how many want to take part in the European Football Championship Sweep Stake.

For those of you not aware of this great football tournament , its called The European 2012 Football Championship and is being hosted by Poland and Ukraine .
Teams from different countries have already played and had knock out games to qualify to the last 16 teams to take part in the tournament beginning on 8 June.
There are 4 groups containing 4 national teams each to play each other. They will knock each other out until a Champion Country is announced the winner following the Final on July 1.
The qualifying Countries are :-
Group A = Poland, Russia, Greece, Czech Republic
Group B = Holland, Denmark , Germany, Portugal
Group C = Spain , Italy , Republic of Ireland, Croatia
Group D = Ukraine, Sweden, France, England
Good Luck to all, but not too much, ... Go ENGLAND Go ... :P

Not really into Football that much usually but I get swept along with the Country when England is competing and playing. I will certainly have the 2 little St George flags flying on my car.

I don't know that much about European Football. I know how the game is played, but I have no idea about team rankings or whatever. However, this will not exclude me from joining in.
I have a lot of different national bloods in me, i.e. Irish, Polish, Spanish, and Cherokee. I don't know that much about the Spanish part... but my Nana's parents were direct from Ireland and my father's parents were from Poland. So I was not too sure which one to choose, flipping a coin solved my problem. My Babcia would be happy, as I am choosing the team from Poland. Now I just need to know when they play, and who their first opponent is.
Is there a web site for this I can use?

For those who are not so familiar with the rules:
There is a preliminary - each team plays 3 matches. If your team wins, you get 3 points. If they draw you get 1 point.
After these three matches we make a cut.
If all supported teams are still in the tournament, it's ok. If just one supported team is out, you are out too - you lost :D
If two or more supported teams are out, we look at the table:
1. Which team has more points
2. If two or more teams have same points, which team has the better goal difference
3. If goal difference is equal, which team has more goals
4. If they also are equal I throw a coin
If two or more supported teams reach next round we are starting again.
Winner is, which team is the best at all.
I'm sure, some of you still have questions. It's not easy to explain, but you will understand it during the tournament.

Theres an English tradition when drinking our Ale ... comes from Henry VIII times .... you bang on the table as hard as you can several times and shout " WENCH MORE ALE " :) Of course .. best to do it amongst friends or at a medieval banquet .. otherwise the Wench may just tip it over your head lol... In the meantime, I am having a hard time chosing another team for my full support. I know Brandy, you will grind your teeth over it, but my german background does pull me their direction, even though they hurt us on the pitch. Pachacuti update
in an attempt to make him a proper english bear, Stone has been hard at work weaning him off bamboo with her famous scones. while this is showing some sucess, the down side is Pachacuti has developed a taste for ale and strong drink to wash it all down. this makes him quite grumpy in the morning till he gets his 1st pint of the day. Stone reports he will be good to go for tonites game but is bringing a muzzle she made in english colors in case he over indulges. so let the games begin ;) ;) ;) one more thing...........anybody have any house breaking tips for a full grown panda? wont begin to tell you what he has been doing at our cabin

Interesting ... Is that a Stetson in the distance walking towards the Sparton warrior,.....I pick up the red & white spare bear muzzle,nodding & smiling & holding my long jousting stick in challenge .... Now i can say i'm satisfy......sunday evening i can finally meet Brandy on the battlefield!
And till the fight begin, we can sit around the campfire drinking and singing togheter at the moon and, why not, we can ask to the Oracle to read the line of the battle to see who will win!
But when the time come, no more friends, just enemy to defeat whit no mercy! Medja, Chas, prepare your sword and clean your armour.....and about me, well, my little dragon girl wanna eat fresh england honey......and she will take a good bite from you, Brandy!

Congrats to both Italy and England for making it to the quarter finals. It will be a yummy game coming sunday. Watch out England, Italy's defense is the strongest in the world. Italy, beware of Rooney, the returned saviour of England. He'll score from any postition..

I ponder matter... turn to Pafe and offer my cowboy hat. "Would you mind being a dear and watching this for me. It is a nameless brand... but as you see well worn and slightly deformed by hooves... but it defines me nicely. It is ...me"
I slide from the fence... turn to those already eliminated. "If he agrees, I default in loss to you... send me your banners I shall wear them with pride until I too fall... or stand in the glory of triumph."
I kneel, fasten the polished greaves,... silently fabricating a possible linkage in the muttled mess of my heritage, gather the battered helm now adorned in the plumage of blue and white. With the aide of the spear the old warrior rises... head bowed yet as he weighs his decision here, sliding the helm on with eyes casted down... putting the mercenary need of drink aside this moment.
I lift my head slow... letting the steeled resolve in my eyes set on the victors of the first round. I pull the shield from my shoulder,... unfurling the blue and white cape to flap in the winds of the storm of the coming next round. Straightening myself. chest jutting out as I set myself in a defiant pose.
"I have made my offer to those fallen",... the spearhead levels point to those victors.... "Is that satisfactory to your objections to enter this round?"

I take awhile to stare over at the Roman Chariots, blades on wheels flashing in the sun light, the Gladiators adorned in breath taking finery.... impressive indeed.... worthy opponents in the arena ... their Tigers chained and sleeping for the moment.... mmmm .... a battle surely to be spoken of in times to come .... my eye catches a .... dragongirl ... in their midst ... and I size her up ...she turns and smiles flashing flesh-eating teeth... mmm one to watch out for on the field. I nod and swish my tail ... the sting prominent and proud... in friendly warning.... " more Ale my friend .. or may I taste your sweet wine and Pasta? Come Sunday ... you will be eating Fish & Chips and drinking English Ale ... AND ...no Brandy- Honey " :) ;D
I walk over to the strange Blue & White loan Spartan , circling , openly admiring & sizing him up, mmmm and recognistion dawns .... ahhhh the snoring mutt ... " So.... you join the battle cries in the arena, Spartan .... but I fear the The Fierce Huns from Germany maybe too strong and brutal for you. I admire your spirit and will be disappointed at your demise ..... but the blood thirsty Huns are for the English Knights to deal with ... ;D ;D ;D btw ... you have a smudge of red on your cheek .... :) Turning briefly as I walk away ... " you have my accord, and I'm sure the other English Knights wont object..."
I return to the Mighty Knights and Splendid Gladiators mmm Pasta is mighty good washed down with Ale ... and.. tickle Pachacuti under his chin ...

I stare at the england warrior walking along the battlefield and studying her enemies....."yes, little bee, prepare your sting, cause you will need it next sunday! rest well, regain you forces, cause the fight gonna be hard and i wouldn't make a step back...." grinding my teeth and smelling the air of battle coming up.
"No Fish & Chips for me, just meat.....fresh and soft meat to bite....meat of a bee, whit her delicious honey....." licking slowly my lips.

I hear the Dragongirl Gladiator breathe her words of fire .... the gauntlet thrown at my feet ... My back up Knights behind me, semi raise their swords and lances in warning as I bend and pick it up. I raise & smile, looking directly into her eyes .. respectful at the fighting spirit within ...
I nod at such a worthy opponent and smile wider ...... " I accept your challenge Gladiator Dragon .... with ... Relish.... " swishing my tail " Prepare well for our battle ... the English Knights are hungry for more.... FLUTES ... " :o ;D ;D
We stare and size each other up before turning at the same time to return to our camps..... This will be a tremendous battle indeed.
I look over at the Fierce Huns, brutal warriors on the field that show no mercy... wondering ... if they too ... will pick up the gauntlet of the Spartans......

Prodding my sword in the reminants of the orange lion's camp, smoke still emitted from hurriedly left campfires, tents half torn down, the sight of an army defeated. broken shields and lost dreams clutter the site. Poking in the rubble next to the officer's tent, the shimmer of red, white and blue, armed with an orange banner, the flag of the once proud dutch army appears.
As I pull out the damaged cloth, smeared with mud and blood, the fabric torn, the wind catches the flag and pulls it into a tight sheet of pride. The ends flap in the strong breeze as the orange banner unfolds and proudly crowns the flag. Slowly I straighten my shoulders, shrug them and brush off the sense of shameful defeat. As I look around, the ashes that cover the campfires is blown away by the brisk breeze, embers starting to glow, the first flames of a resurrecting fire licking the remnants of the logs in the circles of stone. Like a phoenix rises from it's ashes, so will the spirit and strength of the orange lion.
I walk up to the fire, kick the cinders together and add a few lost logs, the wind blowing hard on the embers until a roaring fire flares up to the darkening skies. I look around, the sounds of the surroundings camps disturbing the crackling of the rekindled fire. I turn my back to the fire, facing the hidden camps and spread my legs, finding a sturdy stand. With sparkling eyes, i tilt my head back, my eyes staring in the depths of the deep blue sky, and roar a cry of power. With my arms spread out wide, the volume of my warcry echoes off the surrounding hills, filling the sultry summer sky and penetrates the opposing powers' camps..

Barbarians......no rules and no honor in their fight.....my demon blood burning in my veins, when i fight against them! it's exciting and i tend to lost my reason.....can't wait to meet them!
But now i have to focus my mind on the English Knights.....brave warriors, ready for the ultimate sacrifice to save their Queen! Honor and glory are their proud and their three lion shields are strong and hard to bring down.
We are enemy on the battlefield, but i admire their strength and loyalty.....at least i envy that little Bee cause she have good mates who gonna help her! a respectful bow to your armies, my english enemy!

Nodding at Pafe in the battered hat, munching her burger, respecting the accord she gifted to the Snoring Mutt,... and take a moment to ponder mmm, if the Greek Gods shone down on the Spartans come Friday and the Knights were to defeat them in their next battle - an interesting banner indeed could be invoked ... of a Slave, to the Bee, and wearing a muzzle and collar ... :D :D :D... interesting thought ... My eye then catches her fabulous boudoir shoes and the moment lost .... mmm ... when this is over, I must go shopping and spend my winnings ... ;)
I suddenly hear a reborn roar of defiance, I turn and see ,.... from the Orange Armies - warriors rising up- tall, proud, battered swords and tattered flags rising, unfurling banners , the orange colours standing out against the chared & tattered remains of battle ... A proud , understanding intimate moment of fallen soldiers finding their steel, finding their soul, their resolve and ironclad will... to once more be counted ... when the time comes ... I raise my arms, outstretched, fists clenched towards the skies and face them head on ... recognising & understanding as only true warriors can , their moment of rebirth . I smile with joy that their Lion will once again roar and succeed in their quest for future battles in another time. Turning my jousting stick sideways, my fingers clenched around its middle, I punch the air in a one armed salute " Hail Holland ... to future battles my friends .. "
I glance over to the Gladiators .. and see the DragonGirl looking over & then bow to the Mighty Knights in respect to worthy combatants. I stop in my tracks and turn to face her. I nod in acknowledgement, stand to respectful attention and bow in return. We may be adversaries, Gladiators , but only fools and jesters would under estimate you on the battlefield .
" But", I mutter under my breath as I return to my camp " Victory is ours .. I smell it ..." " Knights, tonight we dance & sing ... DO THE PACHACUTI " Drink your ale, be merry .... come Sunday, we are fighting for our lives .... Let the war dances and chants begin... ENGLAND.

Listens to the bolsterous laughter from the English camp... and catches sight of their firey leaders smug appraisal of him.
Give the wench credit for her grace towards the fallen... and the spriit she leads her camp. A brief thought crosses my mine, but I dismiss it. Too much lies ahead to count any prospect of victory. Tonight alone the focus is on the proud barbarians of the north and their fierce attack.
For the Greeks the task is at hand... the gauntlet now upon them. Win or lose,... there is no other result.
I ease myself away... wander down an unnamed path to the stillness of a small lake. One knows not the true fate of the oncoming battle... but be damned if I greet Charon as an unkept beggar. I set a small fire... strip,.. oil myself and scrap clean the filth of the feastivites. A breif dip into the the cool of the lake under the moonless night,... I rise from the waters refreshed.... take a moment to oil the battle scarred body before I redress... and sit quietly polishing my armor.
Eyes galnce to the heavens... and in the darkness the multiude of stars shine... eternity embraces me this night...and I feel the comfort of Nyx slide close... her voice sings to me... calls forth those of the heavens to heed an ancient call.
An owl hoots,... a dog barks in the distance and I smile knowing the ancient gods gather too. Know too that this night they will whisper words of encouragement,...hope,... and determination to those that enter the field of battle. Come the morrow,... that they shall not back down from the iron fortitude of the Germanic tribes.
Hopes lies, that this shall ba a clash which verbrates across the land... a mighty effort rise and that the blue and white stand, ....victorous.
and that all Greece may sing them their praise.
And if not... they fight with a determination that honor is gained to return them home on their shields.

All the camp are so noisy today.....chant, dance and laugh come from them! every armies are preparing for their battle: some warriors pray their God to grant them victory and others pray to survive the battle and see their love and family again. even if any armies is different, their wish is the same: rise to the sky the cup of the champion and gain glory for their nation! but at least, only one army will win and at every fight one fall down, eating the dust of the looser and have to wait four years to have the chance to proudly rise up their colours!
I leave the camp and climb on the top of the hill behind it......i can see all the camp and the battlefield: the grass turn red, covered by the blood of the fallen warriors and the sunligth make their armour shine in a sinister light, like if the souls of the warriors are asking for revenge! blood leaking from the cracks in the armor is their tears......tears of regret for not having brought glory to their nation!
This is the sad side of wars......so many life left on the battlefield, most young, at the begin of their life! sposes and fiances are crying their beloved lovers, praying their God to accept the fallen souls in his glory.
All this gonna end soon.......the main battle is near, then we can go back to our home, enbrace our family and laugh togheter drinking english Ale or a fresh beer, like we were all friends! and we are......friends in every days life, but the battlefield......every four years it bring down friendship, no metter how strong it will be....only one can win! and this time the Victory Goddess is smiling upon us.......the Itlalian army!

As I check my chariot, the St George emblem embossed and emboldened on its sides, I kiss it for luck as I polish off the dirt and dust of battle, preparing mentally and physically for the fierce fight looming. Red & White filling my mind and fighting blood in my veins.. ENGLAND MY ENGLAND... Calliing on our proud past to embellish and empower our camp ... Boudicia would be proud of such resolve in the Warrior Queens and Knights and St George I know, relish, yet another Dragon to slay...... Hear my prayers, my Gods, my heroes... and take us through ...... TO VICTORY ...
Standing a moment, eyes shut .. I feel the determination invade my body and relish the moment ... they answer, and are at one with the living - Forward in Unity, United we stand , Standing and prepared for battle .... ENGLAND.
I see the DragonGirl silhouetted on the hill, knowing she too is preparing her mind for the battle ahead and thinking of the fallen nations... heroes everyone, - in the quest for the coveted cup. I look to the direction she is faced, and know well of the view she is seeing.. tears of lost dreams and hopes and disappointments .... but the human spirit can be strong and will recover... and live to fight another day ... afterall, it has to be ... the flip side of the coin is the sweet success and the glory of being Victorious.... and that my Italian Gladiator ... belongs to ENGLAND ... :D
I smile, A gentle reminder my friend, you dont have to wait 4 years.. .. the Womens European Football championships is next summer, the qualifying battles already in progress ... no longer is this just a male dominated sport .. and ENGLAND is well on her way to qualifying :D :D :D
I look round, the Portugese celebrations in full throw having conquored their foe to reach the next round... Congratulations, you will fight the winner of the SPAIN V FRANCE battle on Saturday. ( SPN = Dennis & Solarway )

The excitement and patriotism hangs heavy in the air ... mighty battles to be fought indeed and private bets adding to the mix of the Banner agreements.
My attention is suddenly caught by the fine specimen raising from the water ... in the light ... transparent Poseidon, Ares, Zeus surrounding him as the water cascades from his shoulders .. but in a blink of the eye, they are gone... did I see them.. the Greek Gods rising with him in comfort & support ? I look to the Barbarian camp.. be careful my friends ... the cruel Furies may just walk your camp if you show too much disrespect to this underdog. He may just be strong enough to take you on....
I look back, well ... the need to weigh up his strength for England's attack if need be... makes good battle sense .... and has nothing to do with the feminine appreciation of the wet contours of his nakedness, those bulging and toned muscles ... yes, this needs more study .. I settle on my seat, eating crumpets as I watch his oiling ritual .... mmmm .... there's nothing like a bit of delicious crumpet ..... :P

Each round as we progress, our confidence grows. Not many thought England would win- nothing discourages us.
I hear nothing from our Scottish friends -I hope they are enjoying this tournament!!!
We wait patiently for the next round -wondering if the italians have oiled all their reverse gears.
My thoughts turn to the final and victory. There will be celebrations, toasting and laughter. One thought though -do we get to ravage the losers? (In my case the women of course)

The standards unfurles... tension mounts and he eyes that horde from the north,...., I raise my my spear in salute before taking my place in the shield wall.
Yes,.. this is right... the adrlaline rushes familiar again...my heart races again... rejoicing in anticpation... that first moment... when armies finally clash and the earth trembles beneath the colison of wills.... the tangle of bodies... the sweat... the aches... yes.... my soul burns bright with the memories of youth...
The heroes of the Germanic tribes are many... their fierce attack a song worth singing in itself .... Ozil,... Schweinsteiger,...Khedira these are the Germanic heroes to fear this day.
Hold the line I cry... stand in unity... the strength of the shield wall exists only if we stand as one... let their attacks break like waves on our shields...wait... wait... in unity we survive this... let their frustration build...until they make a mistake.... and we counter....
Achilles had his heel... we must allow the Germans will show theirs in time...
My only regret... Lover not here to tease... and plant a small seed of doubt in him ... a potential that in it's end he might find a worn dusty Spartan sandal across his throat...

Blue and white, black, red and yellow banners pass, soldiers marching to the battle grounds. Fierce, proud, strong.. One goal only, all eyes aimed the same direction, their march in sync, each step towards glory or doom in unity.
Leaning against a tall oak tree, a dust cloud apperars in the distance, the armies passed and claiming the fields of war, not a late comer, someone else. A black crow dives in and finds a place above my head, polishing his beak on his black feathers, before screaching a single, ominous cry. Coarse, harsh his voice of danger echoes off the hills surrounding the flats that are the decor for this clash of Titans.
The cloud of dust nears, the earth slightly trembling with the full out gallop of a horse. I arch my hand above my eyes, the setting sun blinding me, the figure in the distance unclear. Just a tail of sandy blonde hair wavers with the blistering speed the horse is driven to. Nothing will disturb the battle tonight! The cling of my sword sounds its familiar metallic song as it is drawn from its simple leather sheath. Feet planted apart, one arm extended, palm open towards the the rider that thunders towards me.
"Halt!"
With skidding hooves, the horse is brough to a halt, only a foot away from my posture blocking the road, foam flung in my face. Mounted on the horse a woman, dressed in the colors of a herald, her face wet with sweat, covered from dust the hooves of her trusted steed threw in her face in his will-driven sprint. Her stern eyes looking at me, her mouth remains closed as I ask her business. her answer consists of a quick flick of her wrist, a knife landing in the bark of the tree, an inch away from my ear.
Without hesitating I duck, grab the ankle of the herald and throw her out of the saddle, dive down on her and pin her down to the dirt of the road as she struggles fiercely beneath me. Then her body relaxes and I get a chance to sit up, keeping my guard up for a surprise attack. I grab her wrists in one hand and let the other go through her clothes, finding what i am looking for in a small pouch tucked in between her breasts. She screams with frustration, bucks underneath me once more and lays her head down in the dirt, defeated. I open the pouch and unfold the scroll.
As the fragile parchment is unfolded and the creases carefully pushed out with my hand,letters are revealed, small but clear to read:

I hear the roar of the Barbarians and know their victory cries by now .... They are a blood thirsty lot and have shown no mercy so far ... I shake my head and stare at the floor... I feel for the Spartans brave but futile fight, they did well on the battlefield and there is no shame this day in their defeat.
GERMANY 4 GREECE 2 .... Stronger teams have faired worst at their hands ....
I take a deep breath as the Barbarians leave the field and return to their camp ... and catch the eye of the warriors -Lover & Dee , drunk with adrenalin and empowered at yet another success ... I swish my tail , eyes flashing in challenge .... " Hey Barbarians ... I offer my congratulations at your victory ... enjoy your success this night .... Come Sunday, and my Gods prevail ... I will come after you , with the Knights ... Its a battle we want ..." I raise my sword " To ENGLAND and her Glory "
I stand a moment, to let my words hit home, then return to my camp ... " Stone , come ... I want to ensure that one of the Spartan's is able to walk from the field to reclaim his hat ... " Stone looks at me bewildered .. " A Spartan ... an enemy? "
I laugh , " Well if you had seen him naked in the water , and wasn't so loved up - you would understand..." slapping her on the back, grabbing each of us an Ale and one to spare ... " Come see."
As we walk , I see, an Orange soldier in his finery by a tree .. and a strange Queen Warrior by him in deep discussion ... mmm. I ponder, She looks Viking perhaps .. good to see his passion is returning in more ways than one ..... I raise my hand to acknowlege his wave of recognition....
The laughter and merriment from the Gladiators camp carries on the wind ... its good that they, like us are relaxing and recharging for the looming battle ahead ... its one where we are both hungry to win and promises to be a spectacular clash of strength... I smile ... but ENGLAND will be the Victors and not the Victims come Sunday.
But first , SPAIN AND FRANCE are to fight, Today is their battle.
Stone and I look at the carnage on the battlefield ... it was a fiersom fight indeed. Fallen warriors , battered, bruised, dirty and dusty .. but not an aire of defeat in the wind as is usually the case but one of hope and bravery and pride that they had had the chance of entering the arena.. that in future battles they will speak of this day in their history .......

The day has come......time is running slowly at the camp and all the gladiators are preparing their weapons and armors: swords and tridents to pierce the enemies' body, net to block their movement and bronze shields to block their attack. All the armours and shields are shining, the blood of the fallen worrior was washed out of them, cause new blood gonna cover them soon!
Everyone is ready for the clash whit the English Knights and i can't wait to face their Warrior Princess, Bee, well known for her strenght and for her beauty......lot of the gladiotors had compare her whit Venere and i had to admit they are right, but i'm more focused on the excitemement she can give me whit her fighting skill! It's rare to see a woman leading the Knights and she is doing it.....can't wait to cross my axe whit her sword! But the real issue will be her three lions shield.....no crack on it till now, in all the camps it's now a lengend: the legend of the invicible Bee shield!
But i know it well.......every shield have a weak point, i just need to find it and i can have the victory in my hands! and after the victory, i'll gonna have my reward: looking at her at my feet asking for mercy.....and i'll gonna have it, i'll respect a warrior who had fight using all the strenght she have and i'm sure she will do it! I had see her on the battlefield...she's proud and she have a strong sense of justice....she will never kill a disarmed enemy! I had see her helping a Spartan after his battle.....his wounds were deeper, but alive, but no one had help him till Bee had start to looking for him.....really a noble behaviour! She have all my respect for this!
But on the battlefield, when we face each other, this is all a nonsense.....the stronghest will win, for the honor of is motherland! And i'll gonna win....loosing the battle is not an option, i know it!

The roar of the gladiators is the sign we are ready to move to the battlefield and i have to join my comrades Medjay and Chasxxx on the first line, to lead our armies to the victory!
We move down the hill and reach our side of the battlefield....on the other side, the Knights are ready and the Warrior Princess is in front of me, ready to engage weapon whit me. I grind my teeth and then, my roar break the unnatural silence on the battlefield: it's time to fight for glory! At the end of the day, only one army will stend on the battlefield and will scream his chant of victory!
"VICTORY WILL BE MINE!" i'll scream before engage Bee in a furious battle!

The sun in the sky shines down on the camp this day... chariots reflecting the hard work of the Knights in their preparations. Red & white , against silver and gold metal. The banners and flags flying in the breeze. Horses are brushed , their coats shining and sleek.. manes and tails prepared for battle. The Three Lions pace on their chains, golden coats and manes glowing with health, vitality and a little arrogance. They show their teeth every now and then and growls deep in their throat hint at the danger within. They know their time is nearly upon them to unleash their power,and show their strength and supremacy against the Tigers of the Gladiators.
The Tigers, too, sense the looming battle and, periodically, an answering call is emitted to the Lions filling the air... both sides eager to fight and face their fate ....
I look over to the Gladiators, a strong, proud race, their red, white and green colours as vibrant as our Red & White, in their camp. Their Chariots and fighting attire just as well prepared. It will be a well matched, historic battle and one that decides the destiny in this war of the other. There is everything at stake and all to fight for. They begin to assemble for the battlefield.
Sir Rabbie, time for your attire, my friend, go make us proud ... we need St Andrew and St George on the field today.

The knights fought to the last, giving proof of their valor and their strength.....but in the end, even the Warrior Princess had fell on her knees in front of the strenght of the gladiators! I tend my hand to the noble Princess, in respect of her bravery:
"You had fought well, Princess.....the battle was hard but i was sure the victory will smile to us....let's honor the fallen together! And it will be an honour to took your sword whit me!"
After i had help her to stand up, we walk along the battlefield, looking at the dead corps of the mighty Knigths and of the strong Gladiators......so many comrades from each armies lay on the ground, covered by blood and dust. We honour each warrior and i'll take their soul whit me, to gain their strenght for the next battle against the Barbarian hordes!
"Tonight, Marte will accept you all in his glorious battlefield on Olympus mountain.....Gladiators, Knights......i'm proud to had fught by your side!"
I rise my axe to the sky, then i point it to the Barbarian camp.....looking at this all the Gladiators scream their chant:

the battle is over, i break camp and load the wagon, coaxing Pachacuti into his travel cage. Lady Stone tends to the walking wounded. The Knights fought well, but the enemy prevailed, i scan the battlefield broken spears in a sea of mud and the words of Sir Lemmy the leader of the Knights of Motorhead enter my mind " Sword and shield, bone and steel, rictus grin, deaf forever to the battles din" i salute the victors and take pride in the english knights who gave there all.

As the haze of fog lifts over the battlefield, I still see the England flag, tattered and worn, but still waving proudly. We fought the good fight. To the victor goes the spoils and our ale. :) I tend my wounds, knowing that I'll be back. I load the ship, and set sail to the new battleground. London.. 32 days....

I'll take a look at the three last camp.......Germany, Spain and Italy......
The blacksmith are working hard to repair the damaged armours and the broken weapons. They know how important is a good work for the next clash....in the worst scenario, only one army will continue till the final match and on the best one, two of them have to fight each other for the last supremacy!
Maybe the Spain army will old in his hands the title of European Champion, or maybe they have to pass it to Germany on Italy armies.....but i have no doubt, we gonna figt whit all our strenght against the Barbarian Hordes! Their axes can bring down a bear and their horned helmets can make them looks like demons......
Weakness warriors can e scared by them, but not my army....we want the victory, it will smile at us and i'm sure of it....

Though the game wasn't very exciting last night (0-0 after 30 mins of extra time, decided by penalties), my congrats to the spanish team. The first finalist of this EC. Tonight we will know which team will oppose them. The Gladiators from ancient Italy, or the hordes of barbarians from the north.
a Titan's clash, in view of the whole world.. Many hearts will be broken, the sorrow will be endless, regardless of the outcome of this battle.. Both armies have fought hard and have reached far in this epic tale. To all good luck, may lady Fortune smile upon you and bring you the glory of Victory.
The warrior princess that came dashing in with her message, has conveyed her full story to me and as she mounts her horse again, ther slender thighs clenching around the mighty animal, I turn and look over to the arena. Dust of clouds are wushed over the battered field as the wind picks up and whipes it clean, the rain falling down and washing the blood and sweat away, leaving the field cleansed, ready for the next clash.
With the scroll in my hand, the declaration of war, I turn towards the few camps that are left. A few defeated warriors, a mix of all attentding armies, have gathered around a roaring fire, sharing ale and fish&chips. With heavy feet I walk the distance, the parchment weighing a mountain. Cheerful greets when I step into the circle of light quickly die down when the look on my face is lit up by the falmes of the fire.
I take my place in the centre, look around to ensure I have the attention of all, before I open the scroll and read the message:

In the camp, my comrades are prepering for the imminent clash, probably the hardest one we have from the begin of the tournament! The barbarians horde are well known for their strenght and they want this victory whit all their will!
I can see them......wearing their horned helmet and embracing their axe! But one of them had caught my attention: Lover, the leader of the horde! he is giving the final order to his minion and, probably, they are setting a good strategy to try to defeat us....but be sure we, the Gladiators, are ready to engage this Titan's Battle, we have no fear, and at last we gonna win!

The German fighters are on their way. I look around to see HB and Medjai - we want a fight eye to eye, with opened visor.
Both teams have big hearts, no fear and want the final decision in this arena.
It's not a match - it's more. Much more. In the past both teams have been tactician and strategists. This times are gone - today we're going to fight, attacking, running, shooting with anything we got and from wherever we are.
At the end, the italian warriors admit defeat and follow us to the last fight - the final versus spain.

I look to the Dragongirl, eyes still firey from her recent victory ..... " My sword brought you luck, my friend ... your Gladiators fought a mighty battle to defeat the Barbarians... The camp is so quiet now......we drink lot of wine in the nigth! Chant, laugh and music are now off......my comrades are sleeping to restore their strenght after a long battle. Our blacksmith is working hard to repair damaged armors and weapons, he never rest after a battle, and i can hear the strong hit of his hammer on the anvil.....it's incredible how he can regain the life in a dead object and i like staring at him while he is working....he is strong enough to fight at our side, if he want it, but he has taken an oath years ago: he will never break another life on the battlefield, no matter what can happen, his hands are dirty of warriors blood! And i'll respect his decision....
But now, i need something different......dawn is coming and i love to take a bath when the fresh morning breeze caress my body! I step into the water....mmmhh...so fresh and perfect for restoring after an hot day....the waves gently caress my skin and slowly i follow their movememnt whit my hands.
I'll remove my left arm plate and the dragon shoulder protection, paying attention to them removing dust and blood after any battle....they are so important for me! My mother had gave them to me before i join the gladiators and i wanna take care of them....i allways wear them and i don't had allow anyone to touch them, even my beloved Marla can do that! When they are cleaned, i put them on the ground and step back on the water...
I like to floating in it, it relax me so much! I let the current carry me slowly and i close my eyes......in my mind, i can see every moment of the battle we fought against the barbarian, i can still smell the blood that flows from the wounds and falling to the mother earth.....she gave life to us and she claims it when it reaches our end, this is the only rule i had allways follow!
And now i know this time is far......maybe it can come this sunday, when we gonna fight the Matadores, but i refuse to accept it......i will fight for our Ceaser and for our motherland Rome! Yes, time to be clamed again like champions had come! For our mothers, for our motherland and for Ceaser!

Much to my surprise, no offense HB and all in the italian camp, germany lost the semi final.. I do wish both Italy and Spain the best of luck tonight in the final clash.. I hope they will make this a game to remember, because ofit being great. The qualities are there, some great players are on the pitch. I hope both team will be brave and will attack vigorously.
Italy has shown their drive forward, their ability to score goals. I hope Spain will be more creative and go for a big score as well... Good luck to both sides and let's make this a game to remember!

Football is our national sport and as hosts of the Olympics this time round Football is of course on the agenda ... yay
It is a little strange though for us .... we compete as Great Britain in the olympics and therefore, have a united team of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland athletes and gamesmen and women.
As we usually compete as individual nations in football, and therefore do not compete in the olympic football games normally, this has caused some issues & headaches in the oylmpic politics and football associations. Anyway the upshot is ... a new football team of Great Britain will be created.. involving footballers from all the relevant nations ... Looks like I will be cheering for Great Britain in football this time round ... and it will be interesting to see how the team gels & if we are worthy competitors.
Of course, this is for the London Olympics only, a one off ... it will be back to normal in the other tournaments :)

Not seen Dennis but spoke recently to Solarway .. He did say he would think and post a banner. Hes had some RL issues and is leaving the game I believe ... so I concur with Lover ... If there is no response from either, they forfeit the possession of the banners for a week to Team Italy ( Seeing as I already had a taste of that loss... may the gods be with us lol )
