I like to read all different opinions. It's great to see about the different thoughts to this and finally it's nice to read that everyone has his own idea of what a mentor is. But that's usual.
So I make one step back and start to ask about the “job” of a mentor. There will be as many ideas as we are people here.

– Is a mentor somebody who helps for the first steps? How AChat is working, how to use the game items (search-button, shop, character editor, building relationship…)
– Is a mentor somebody who helps having sex in room?

For me, a mentor is someone every member can ask about the game. This almost will be newbs, but sometimes also older members.
I don't think about explaining sex in room, but about the handling of AChat. The mentor takes you by the hand and helps if you-
– don't know how to use the editor
– wanna become prem
– wonder, why everybofy declines your cold invitations
– don't know how to start relationship
– also ask about the room – how to start poses and actions

IMO a mentor is nothing less and nothing more then we all do here in forum. The only difference is, he/she is cognizable in game. Freeuser can't post here and even if they were able to (I think it should be this way) most don't know about the forum. They start the game, make some big mistakes (inadvertently) and leave, as they are disappointed.

I agree and I have mentioned it in another post: There have to be some unique rules for a mentor. At least it's someone who is public. This can be a problem for AChat, because the users don't differ between AChat-developer and mentors.
There also has to be a big number of mentors if it really should make sense. You need members of several continents (time zone), several genders and languages.

Yes, a good guide “How to…” is helpful and needed. This is what we are doing now. But we don't reach enough people, as long as it's hidden here in the forum. Even when it's visible in game for everyone, from my own life experience with instruction books (and many people think so) I know, a lot of people don't wanna read. They wanna ask their own specific questions or have someone explaining it. Most feel better when they can ask an existent person instead of reading.

I made an interime report of the collected ideas and added some of my own:
– Advertizing
– Encourage membership of forum
– Simplify using the forum (button in game and also opening the forum for free user after registration)
– “Accepting” more help of users (developing clothes, backgrounds…)
– Keep the chance to start as free user and offer a starter kit for becoming prem (e.g. 3 old poses, some clothes…)
– Adding the quick-start guides into the game
– Shemale robot
– Advanced chat system (generall chat, chat rooms, group chat….)
– Improve graphic
– Develop the community itself
– Open forum for all, perhaps an non-public area for prem members
– Having a group of members being mentors
– Improve search-function (using wildcards, searching for mentors…)
– Incentives for helping free user become prem
– Do something against whores
– Do something against rudeness
– Prune membership listings for the forum
– Offering more help for new members (give them a list of mentors, link to forum and the quick-start guides)
– Keep Achat simple and unique
– Offer more body and room options for more individualization
– Make an app for tablet pc (ipad, samsung, sony…)
– Better profile system with more space for personal info (maybe an auto hide sistem for the description area!?)
– Offer some package at the shop. example: all the lap dance poses whit a 20% of low price then buy them one by one.
– offer a “test-membership” for 7 days

The test membership can be: Offer a prem-membership for 7 days (at once or after 3 days). If they accept, they get 1000A$ and can purchase whatever they want. After 7 days they can deny premium, then they “fall back” to free user. If they subscribe, they keep everything they bought. You can allocate the 1000A$ they got or give it as a gift for subscribing.

The non-english speaker thread seems to be a good idea. Since yesterday I was asked for help three times. One of these questions was about subscribing.

Ok, just kidding… It's great you met your lady here. I wish you both all the best. Adn imo what you did is bit different to just “meet in real life”. You spent hours, days, weeks… before with chatting, talking… you started to know each other on several different ways.
This is like real life goes (almost). There is nothing wrong with it.
When I answered here it was more about the question “there is someone i have a lot of fun here and he wants to meet me in real now…”
