I'm not a great fan of boats, I'd rather be at the beach during my summer holidays I do need water. But I could see a story created besides the cruise ship. Maybe the guide that shows agroup of tourists around an island, where maye ancient gods still cast spells to piss off people
So the theme is fine with me, all directions are still possible. It could serve very well as a background for all stories.I'd have trouble figuring out how I would meet my partner(s), what her role is compared to mine, what leads to the inevitable moment of flowing passion, unstoppable lust..
But there is plenty of time to discuss other themes, so dn't be shy and keep posting them. I will collect them all over time and turn them into a post, so we can choose which theme we want for the contest
*Walking into the room, folowing the shreaks, moans and other noises emitting through the door. Leaning against the post of the door, black tux, bottle of champagne under my arm and wearily shake my head “You go for a short trip, leave the kids out of sight and this is what you get…”
I agree with Bear, a lead theme should not be a problem. Maybe we can compile the suggested themes in a poll and vote on it. The more that carry the idea, the more contestants and readers we can expect.
Annoucing the contest now can give everybody enough time to consider, start writing and editing even before the entry and closing dates are announced. I suggested the summer, as to have 2 contests a year. I would not want to loose the support of the A-team to support the effort.
Promoting the forum/contest would be a great idea. The more people that come to the forum, will gain more influence with the dev-team. Polls could be a great tool for that, since a lot of people read, but a lot don't vote. Maybe a poll should be opened to non-paying members as well, as to draw even more attention. Up to now, posting on the forum is for paying members only..
@sexilicious you are getting better with each line you write. I am certain that with a bigger voting crowd, you would have gotten points..
Keep up the good work!@Lover I see a few similarities between our characters and I think it would be nice if they met somewhere in the story. Like your character, mine is unconsciously looking for fun, is doubting his reasons to continue his service for the brotherhood without really believing in their doctrine anymore. After he tasted the first delights of love making (not releasing pressure as a biological and physical necessity), he is doubting his voww of abstinence. I see your character as some sort of hermit. Having all the wisdom, people coming to him to find advice and guicdance, while he himself disconnects from life, though he might want something different. Maybe meeting the right girl would help him find the path back to true living? Just thinking outloud as well
@ Hentai I think it is wonderful that you want to jump in. Indeed it is a callenge to invent a city and surroundings lands with a group of writers, but we are fortunate enough to have people like Janine and Bear that have laid down wonderful storylines and backgrounds for this combined effort. In my believes,l the more people entering, the more alive the story will become.
As Umbra is not up to speed with the reasons for his mission, he might be either urged to continue at all costs if he finds out, or drop the mission, leave the brotherhood and become an outcast. But I think that will have to be seen as the story progresses. The internal fight his is fighting, is about his wish for love and attention, as he was deprived of that when he was brought up in the monastery..
I am very happy that there is an interest to continue that tale. I am in ofcourse.
I had been working on my own tale, continuing the tale f the Ranger on it's own and I have quite some material. Continuing with this thread will ask for adaptation of my own story. Something I will do with pleasure.
It's interesting Janine, that you suggest a larger underlaying conspiracy as the basis for the things happening in town. My story had gone the same direction, though the city had become the objective of the neighbouring Queen who desires to own the port of the City, as her own lands are not connected to the open water at all.
Though in content the story continues in a different direction, the idea is the same. I will be more as happy to join in againI use a translator often to find words I can incorporate in my stories. I am not a native speaker, like you Hentai. I have studied english for a long time in school and talking online very often in english, does help a lot. Still, I am learning every day and I write down words that I come across, that have a certain… 'ring' to it. My last word was gyrating, gyroscope..
Janine, I think your idea is wonderful. A connection between AChat and the contest could draw a bigger crowd to the stories, and could enhance the sales of the newly developed item/room. So it would depend on the a-team what the underlaying theme is. But I am open for any idea really that could give shape to a new contest.
I would like some feedback from the a-team themselves. They are sponsoring the contest and I am curious if they consider this to be a succes and if they are open for a new contest in the (near) future. Suzy, maybe you can comment on that? I'd appreciate that very much.
