The new achat was supposed to go online about the end of February.
What happened at the end of February?
Russia invaded the Ukraine and came under heavy sanctions.
Russia was heavily invested in server farms.
Also, we do not know where the owners of achat are located.
Are they in Russia?

If achat was planning to use Russian servers, and then after making initial investments in them, was unable to use them; the release could not go forward until replacements could be found, and funded.
If the owners were Russians, then they would have issues with setting up the additional servers in other countries and also getting the experienced programmers to work on it, as well as network people.

Just an idea that I had.

I do believe you are right Steve.
I do think Achat is Russian owned and the sanctions and swift banking is biting.

I’ve asked for updates and directed Achat to this topic in attempts to get information out to members.
As of yet, no info is forthcoming.
If I do get any answers, I’ll post in this topic.

The next big update 2.0 of the game next door is coming out… but we still have no news of the new version… After the game next door 2.0 is launched, I am afraid no one will come here to play. . 🙁

So,,, I tried the demo of the new AChat next, which is available on the unlogged in home page of AChat.

It is a limited access demo, so all comments below are on the demo only…
1st: It accepted the login details from my already existing account.
2nd: Graphics look pretty good.
3rd: It uses a monthly subscription format, but does not accept the fact that you have already paid for premium on the basic AChat client, which SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4th: it only has available at this time, MF poses, so everyone else is screwed.
5th: I did not spend a lot of time on it, but there are a large number of bots that you can mess with, and each allows you to try a few of the different poses, but then the rest of the poses are locked out, unless you pay for the subscription. Owning all of the MF poses and having Premium on the old achat makes no difference at all at this time. It appears that you have to pay for the AChat Next subscription to get full access.

Graphics are good, but I have to say, that everything else, SUCKS!!! at this time….
I will likely stay with the old AChat

I have wondered myself if a Premium Subscription on this Achat version would go over to Achat Next.

Thanks for the run down on Achat Next.

I agree, the subscription for Achat should carry over to Achat Next.
After all, we have been loyal customers for a long time now and it would be nice to have the option of using one or the other, depending on whether we have access to Mobiles or Laptops.

I suspect if its a choice of one or the other, Achat will win hands down and Achat Next will be left hanging.

It would be better if Achat concentrated on levelling the playing field with LBGT poses which would entice and improve their customer base and thus encourage more to become premium members.

I won’t be using AChat Next as I would choose my VL husband over a bot any day. Why pay to “mess with” a bot when I can mess with my partner on a game I already pay for? Not sure why they think this is worth paying for when there is no interaction. Might as well watch a porn site for free honestly. Thanks @SteveW for confirming what I already thought.

Sorry, it’s bots only? There’s not any multi-player aspect to AChat Next (yet?). Mhm, okay. For the time being, I’ll sill stick to my two other multi-player outlets for “play” for the time being and keep watching to see if this improves in any way going forward.
