I love sports including the Olympics but the Paralympics are always special…

The athletes are awe inspiring. Just look at these medals. Of course I’m rooting for Team GB.

I was on holiday for a few days & am disappointed that the forum tools & PM are still omitted from this forum.
Come on Achat, time for us to have our basic facilities back…
For what reason are you holding on to them?
You are killing the place by making it too hard to engage.

I messaged them to ask for our tools back.

RIP – Charlie Watts.

Charles Robert Watts was an English musician who achieved international fame as the drummer of the Rolling Stones from 1963 until his death in 2021, aged 80 years.
He was a rock N roll legend who’s true love was Jazz.

Here is the other side of Charlie Watts Quintet

Bob Costas in a 1993 interview he did with Charlie, when the Stones had already been together for 30 years: Costas asked him, “In those entire 30 years, when have you been the happiest?”

CHARLIE WATTS: “One of the most thrilling moments was – in doing this record (album of standards) when I’d assembled this whole orchestra at great expense! …. the moment when Brian, the piano player with our (core jazz) quintet gave the downbeat, and the whole orchestra began playing ‘My Ship’ – with Bernard Fowler singing the vocal. And did it in one take. That is the one on the record. And I thought that …. [long pause to choose his words] very rarely do you experience such things.”
