This outfit is an example of mixing and matching. It looks good for smart casual wear & taking your lady for a meal or dance in play.

Used this way, they look more like black jeans than formal trousers.

I am also having the same issue and have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. It has not fixed the problem either.
